How You’ll Make a Difference
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure full compliance with the Pension Reform Act (PRA) 2014 (as amended), and all PENCOM regulations, codes, circulars, and guidelines.
- Prepare and submit all required monthly, quarterly, and annual returns/reports to PENCOM, including RMAS filings.
- Conduct monthly compliance and risk checks and prepare compliance reports for management, Board, Committees, and PENCOM.
- Review and update compliance policies to reflect regulatory changes and current market realities.
Internal Control:
- Conduct control checks on investment, benefits, and data administration to ensure compliance with internal and PENCOM regulations.
- Verify accurate reconciliation of investment and GL balances with the Custodian.
- Provide required information to Internal Audit, PENCOM auditors, and external reviewers.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of key internal controls.
Risk Management:
- Identify, measure, and monitor emerging risks across the CPFA.
- Assess investment activities to detect risk exposures and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Perform continuous monitoring of risk controls to ensure effectiveness.
- Review risk-related policies in line with regulatory and process changes.
What You Bring
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or other numerate discipline.
Work Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the financial sector.
- Pension industry experience is an added advantage.
Knowledge Requirements:
- Strong understanding of the Pension Reform Act (2014) and related regulatory frameworks.
- Knowledge of internal/external audit processes.
- Familiarity with the Nigeria Data Privacy Act.
Skills:
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365; Power BI, PowerApps, and Power Automate are added advantages.
